C. Damon GunnelsAssociate
C. DAMON GUNNELS is an associate in the Atlanta office of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP. Damon was born in Key West, Florida. Prior to attending college, Damon served five years on active duty with the United States Marine Corps. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
While in law school, Damon was a Student Materials Editor for the Tennessee Law Review and Managing Editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. He was also active in the Legal Advocacy Clinic at UT, providing free legal assistance to the underprivileged. Damon was admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 2006, and is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Damon has represented general contractors and subcontractors in a variety of disputes, including arbitrations, mediations, and materialman’s lien enforcement. Since joining Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP, Damon has been active in the firm’s construction, government contracts, and surety practice areas.
