JASON D. KATZ is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Smith, Currie & Hancock LLP. Jason began with Smith, Currie & Hancock as a law clerk in 2003. Jason was born and raised in South Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2001. Jason returned home to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center , where he graduated first in his class and earned his Juris Doctorate degree in May of 2005. During law school Jason was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society.
Jason is a member of the Florida Bar. He is also active in the Florida Bar Construction Law Committee, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers; the Construction Law Committee of the Broward County Bar Association; and the Associated Builders and Contractors.
